Meet Nairobi

Nairobi is a kitten we rescued. When she came into care she needed to be bottle fed and had a horrendous eye infection that was very difficult to treat.

Despite our best efforts the infection was too deep and her eye ended up rupturing. We managed her pain and scheduled surgery to remove it. It was a huge surgery for such a young kitten to go through, and was incredibly intense.

We reached out for donations because the surgery was going to cost about a thousand dollars and that was a huge strain on a small rescue such as ourselves. Amazingly, an anonymous donor decided to pay for the surgery and the entire bill we had at the clinic.

Nairobi made it through her surgery! Her eye socket healed beautifully, she’s been incredibly playful and showing off her unstoppable spirit. But we couldn’t have done it without our community.

We are grateful to the donor, and also our supporters, whose donations went towards her and her litter mates care.
