What We Do In The Community
Abby Cat Daddy is committed to protecting and improving the lives of cats in Abbotsford, Mission, and Chilliwack. Through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), adoptions, and community programs, we help reduce overpopulation, support responsible pet ownership, and provide essential care for both feral and domestic cats.
Explore our programs below to see how we’re making a difference—and how you can get involved.

Our Programs
1. Local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Program
TNR is the most effective way to reduce overpopulation and improve the well-being of community cats. If you are feeding a feral or stray cat, we can TNR them free of charge.
Our TNR Program Includes:
✔ Spay/neuter surgery
✔ Vaccinations
✔ Deworming & flea treatment
✔ Permanent ID (microchip & tattoo)
✔ Ear tip marking for identification and to prevent unnecessary re-trapping
📍 Cats are safely returned to their original territory within 24 hours. If kittens are present, we remove and place them into foster care for adoption.
📩 To request TNR assistance, email TNR@TheAbbyCatdaddy.ca with the subject line “TNR.”
💙 Want to support our TNR efforts? E-transfer donations to TNR@TheAbbyCatdaddy.ca
2. Last Litter Program
If your cat is pregnant and you do not wish to keep the kittens, we can help.
How the program works:
✔ You care for the mother and kittens until the kittens are 8-10 weeks old (foster placement may be available).
✔ We provide food, litter, and enrichment toys to help support their care.
✔ When the kittens are old enough, we:
- Spay the mother and return her to you.
- Vet, sterilize, and adopt out the kittens through our adoption program.
✔ We ensure your cat receives updated vaccinations, flea & deworm treatment, and permanent ID.
📌 Note: Medical care beyond basic services remains the owner’s responsibility.
📩 To apply, email Rescue@TheAbbyCatDaddy.ca with the subject line “Last Litter Program.”
3. Cat Adoptions
We rescue cats from:
✔ Our TNR program
✔ Owner surrenders
✔ Expired stray holds
All adoptable cats receive medical vetting including:
✔ Spay/neuter surgery
✔ Vaccinations
✔ Flea & deworm treatment
✔ Permanent ID (microchip & tattoo)
💙 Adoptions are our primary source of funding. View our available cats at:
4. Barn Cat Program
Occasionally, a cat rescued through TNR cannot be returned to its original location due to construction, environmental hazards, or predators. When this happens, we look for safe barn homes for these cats.
Barn Cat Requirements:
✔ You must contain and house the cat for 6-8 weeks to ensure they acclimate to your property.
✔ Cats must have daily access to food, fresh water, and shelter.
📩 If you’re interested in adopting a barn cat, email Rescue@TheAbbyCatDaddy.ca with the subject line “Barn Cat.”
💙 This program is available by nominal donation.
5. Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Program
We offer a low-cost spay and neuter program for residents of Abbotsford and Mission to help reduce accidental litters and improve community cat health.
What’s Included:
✔ Standard spay or neuter surgery
✔ Take-home pain medication
✔ Nail trimming
✔ Vaccinations
✔ Microchip
Cost: Starting at $165 per cat
📩 After submitting your application and payment, you will receive a confirmation email with a voucher number and surgery instructions. Processing takes up to 24 hours.
