Community Resources for Cat Owners & Caretakers

This page provides essential resources for local spay and neuter programs, TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), financial assistance, and other support services for both feral and domestic cats.

Affordable Spay & Neuter Programs

There are several clinics and programs in the Fraser Valley dedicated to helping pet owners and community cat caretakers access affordable spay/neuter services. We strongly encourage microchipping and tattoo identification for all cats to help reunite them with their families if they become lost.

Abby Cat Daddy Spay & Neuter Program (Mission & Abbotsford)

We offer affordable spay and neuter services for residents of Mission and Abbotsford. The package includes:

Spay/neuter surgery
Take-home pain medication
Nail trimming
Standard vaccinations
Microchipping

Cost: Starts at $165
After submitting your application and payment, you will receive a voucher number and instructions for booking the procedure. Confirmation is typically sent within 24 hours.

Abby Cat Daddy Last Litter Program (Mission, Abbotsford & Chilliwack)

If your cat is pregnant and you need help, our Last Litter Program provides full care for the mother and kittens. Once the kittens are weaned (8 weeks old), we will:

Spay the mother and return her to you.
Find loving homes for the kittens.
Neuter any intact male cats in the household.

FCM Feral Cat Management – TNR Spay/Neuter Program (Chilliwack)

FCM partners with a local veterinary clinic in Chilliwack to offer affordable spay/neuter surgeries for community cats. The process is simple:

Fill out the application form.
Submit payment.
Receive confirmation and book the procedure directly with the clinic.

One of the most well-known and affordable sterilization programs in the Fraser Valley.

Fraser Valley Humane Society Spay/Neuter Program (Mission)

This discounted sterilization program is available to Mission residents who demonstrate financial need. Services include:

Spay/neuter
Microchipping
Vaccinations
Viral testing
Parasite control

~~BC SPCA Low-Income Spay/Neuter Program~~

This program provides discounted spay/neuter services for qualifying low-income pet owners.

Note: The BC SPCA has paused its Spay/Neuter programs for the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Lower Mainland as of January 2024. We will update this section when services resume.
